Regeneration processing Recycling

The 2019 amendment to the Basel Convention placed restrictions on the export of waste plastics. As a result, the amount of waste plastics accumulated in Japan to be incinerated or landfilled has significantly increased, resulting in issues such as high costs due to manual sorting and increased CO2 emissions.
We have started a new initiative to efficiently recycle composite materials and other materials which were incinerated up until now. We installed dedicated equipment at our Kameoka factory in Kyoto, enabling highly efficient removal of foreign matter, and also established a system that allows us to produce high-quality recycled pellets using compounding technology. We will promote to sell and spread these resources which can be used in a long term and take environmental protection to the next level.
We also manufacture thick sheets from PIR, functional packaging materials of food packaging, and sell them as lining materials of travel bags. We started contributing to society by recycling 3,600 tons of waste annually from incineration.
